I began my journey in web design and marketing at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center, where I earned a vocational certificate in Marketing & Web Design. During this program, I learned a wide range of skills, including web design, marketing, retail, and sales.
I also learned how to build a website from scratch using HTML coding language and software like Dreamweaver. As part of my education, I also worked at the school store, which helped me develop my customer service skills and learn inventory management and stocking.
In that role, I learned how to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, handle cash and credit transactions, and keep records of inventory and sales. This experience taught me valuable skills that are essential in any customer-facing role, such as communication, problem-solving, and time management.
To further my education, I pursued an Enrichment Course in Foundations in Information Technology at Harrisburg University of Science & Technology through NuPaths. This program taught me the fundamentals of computer systems and networking, including identifying security risks, system maintenance, networking protocols, and more.
I also gained experience in using help desk software like Spiceworks, which has given me valuable knowledge in troubleshooting computers and software. Through my education and hands-on experience, I’ve developed a wide range of skills, including computer hardware and software troubleshooting, IT operations, technical support, and more.
